SEAI Grants & Discounts
Domestic Solar 0% VAT
The new 0% VAT rate on PV solar panel installations applies to private dwellings only.
Feed IN Tarriff In Place
Since July 2022, Irish homeowners have been eligible to sell their surplus solar electricity to the grid. Prices for exported electricity are negotiated between electricity suppliers and consumers. So it’s important to shop around for the highest value. Selling surplus solar electricity to the grid is simple. All you need are solar panels and a suitable contract with an electricity supplier, and a smart meter (usually).

Have to say fantastic job GoSolar team ... From the get-go it has been a great customer experience end to end, the team could not have been any more professional. The install consisted of 12 panels inverter/diverter 5KW battery & Zappi Home Car charger ....lead time was minimal & installed up & running with the app firing on all cylinders within one day...BER increased significantly & Eimear from the GO Solar team processed all required details for the SEAI grant within a few short weeks. Three months in & even though it was Spring my utility bill was suitably reduced with a combination of smart metering & exporting of energy to the grid. If you're in the market for a Solar system, look no further. I would 100% recommend the Go Solar team ... so much so, a number of friends have already placed orders...
