Thanks to gosolar for doing an excellent job.

From the initial conversation I found they listened to my needs and designed a solution that would best meet our requirements. The installation and commission process was faultless as well as very neat and tidy.

Coupling this with their fast response to any post installation queries, I have no issue in recommending them for anyone that is looking at a solar investment.

D Quirke – Kildare

In November last year (2020) I decided to research the benefits of installing a PV Solar system to help meet the electrical demand in our family home. This was important for us to get right as following a very serious accident in 2019 which involved a lot of surgery we purchased a spa which has to been kept constantly warm and this has increased the electrical demand in our home of two adults and three children.
I contacted six or seven different companies who called out and gave us a free house survey and discussed what would be the best options for us.
The first few surveys were fine but as time went on I was surprised at the differences in what some companies could do for us. Some advised they could install a system of just under 3KW, others around 4kw, 5kw and up to 6kw.
Some of the surveys said a battery would be a waste of time and others said a battery is a must and explained how to best work the system.
I took on board what the various companies were advising and at the same time doing my research on google in researching solar panels, inverters and battery storage, the different manufacturers, sizes, capabilities etc.
Mr. Paul Bennett from GoSolar.ie stole the show in his survey of our property. He suggested installing 6 PV solar panels on the roof of our garden house in our back garden, which is south west facing and also installing panels on the roof of our house.
Paul also explained we should really install a battery and why, he said ‘its a no brainer’, which has proved to be very true.
We decided in late December to have GoSolar.ie supply and install our PV solar panel system which was the best move we ever made.
We now have a 6.1KW system in place which includes a 5kw Givenergy inverter, a 8.2kw Givenergy battery and a My eddi hot water diverter.
We have switched our electricity meter to day/night which allows us to charge our battery to around 80% overnight on the cheap rate which is then used when needed during the day. The hot water diverter now heats our hot water cylinder which is also saving us on gas which we used to use before.
The other positive about Paul is he listens to what you have to say. We discussed different solar panels, inverters, batteries and diverters and he was able to supply and fit the ones best suited to us.
I can’t recommend enough Paul at GoSolar.ie and his crew of roofers and installers. In these difficult times they carried out a very professional installation and set up of the system. Also, Lorraine and Linda in the office kept me in touch with when the installation would take place and kept me informed about the grant application and dealt with all of same.
It has been a very interesting research and we are delighted that we have had our system installed. The Givenergy app on our phones and on our laptop keeps us in touch real-time with the performance of the system and will allow you to create reports of all kinds.
As we are only up and running a few months we will be looking forward to comparing a year of energy bills with PV solar in place to those of beforehand.
Thanks again to Mr. Paul Bennett and GoSolar.ie, well done.”

The team from Go Solar arrived at my house at 8:30 am. They did a wonderful job of installing the system, I was very impressed with their care and professionalism – they really are first-rate electricians and installers. In addition, their office has been very helpful and easy to communicate with. They dealt with the SEAI grant application paperwork quickly and efficiently, so the whole process was smooth and hassle-free for me. I was also happy with the pricing, which was very reasonable compared to some of the other quotes I got for the same system.

I’m delighted with my 4kW solar system plus battery and hot water diverter, it’s running beautifully and will save me quite a bit on electricity. I was afraid it might be complicated and hard for me to understand, but it’s really quite straightforward: the interface on the inverter shows exactly how much electricity is being generated and where it’s going, and you can also look at how the system is performing on a phone app, which is handy! I was also sent warranties for all the components of the system, and I am confident that I can rely on Go Solar for help and advice if there are any issues in future.

Overall, I’m glad I decided to invest in a solar system, and I’m very satisfied with my experience with Go Solar. They did a brilliant job and I’m delighted to recommend them”.

After talking with a number of the approved solar PV installers listed on the SEAI website, we decided to go with GoSolar/PB Electrical for the installation of a 4kw solar PV system with backup battery, and an electric car charging point. During this time, Paul and Lorraine were very informative in answering all our queries related to how a solar PV system works, and what is required for the installation. Moreover, their quotation for the installation was also very competitive. Work on-site was finished in a very timely manner, with minimal disruption. The follow up service was also exemplary. We would have no hesitation in recommending GoSolar/PB Electrical to anyone considering installing solar PV panels.”

I just want to say as well that the guys that came out and done the fitting of everything, from the electrical work to the panels themselves were fantastic, very professional and done a great job”.

I had a 4Kw Solar PV system installed with a 3.5Kwh BYD battery and a Solar iBoost hot water diverter by GoSolar in December 2019, the installation went very well and the crew were both polite and professional.  They even went above and beyond to resolve a problem involving a 35yr old immersion heater which had nothing to do with them.

There were a couple of minor configuration issues early on which were resolved promptly by Paul, who always responds to a voicemail or text.  All the paperwork and admin for the SEAI grant was dealt with efficiently by Lorraine in the office and went through without a hitch.

The system has been running flawlessly for over 6months now and the savings are amazing.  I can’t speak highly enough of Paul and the whole GoSolar team, and would highly recommend them, so much so a work colleague and my next door neighbour have since  commissioned them to have similar systems installed.

“I have long been an advocate of micro generation in the home and have been tracking the improvements in the technology over the years. Finally last year I decided the time was right to add Solar to my home. I had recently changed my car to an EV and completed and deep energy retro fit of my home to include increased insulation and the addition of a heat pump for heating the home and hot water, so adding Solar was the next logical step. My ultimate aim is to be 100% self-sufficient.

After an initial look in the market I contact Paul and the team @GOsolar to see what they could offer, they had previously completed the electrical works at the house and would have been familiar with the wiring.

When I met with Paul and outlined what I would like to achieve, he came back to me with a number of options, in terms of panel type and size, invertor and battery type. I found this very beneficial, as, while I was not going to achieve my 100% target straight off, what system I installed would have to be factored to allow for expansion in the future.

The team where great, fully understood what I wanted to achieve and helped guide me as to how I could get there.

I finally settled on a 6KW system with a 7kw battery.

The process from here was very straight forward, Loraine dealt with all the paperwork and helped with the grant application.

When it came to the install the work was, to a very high standard from the initial roofing work mounting the panels, to the methodical attention to detail of the electricians completing the wiring. They commissioned the system and set me up so I could monitor the solar production via the Solar edge APP.

I have the system installed over 8 months now, and in that time I have generated almost 5,000KWh of electricity more than 35% of my consumption, which includes my heating and the charging of my electric car, so the system has exceed expectations.

I would not hesitate in recommending Paul and the team @ GoSolar, the whole experience was seamless and professional from start to finish. A great value for money service that goes beyond the basics.”
